Mauritz
Restaurant
The fortifications of the amiable town of Willemstad, which is named after the ‘Father of the nation’ Willem van Oranje (1533-1584), bear witness to a rich past. This also includes Grand Cafe and restaurant Mauritz (after Maurits, son of Willem), located in a 19th century former Oranje society that has been renovated with love and care. Granito floors, tile mosaic, the wooden bar and the upholstered paneling create the atmosphere of a Parisian brasserie, completed by a beautiful art piece in Art Nouveau style.
